Interstate 30
heads northeast out of Dallas, through the very fertile northeastern
corner of this huge state, into Texarkana and Arkansas. I-30 is the
short-cut connecting Dallas with Little Rock AR. You may find a stop in Sulphur Springs interesting. Here is a small guitar builder, Mossman Guitars, where you can observe craftsmen building these musical instruments the 'old fashioned way'. We advise phoning ahead for reservations: 1-903-885-4992. And continuing on the subject of music, the City's public library has one of the largest collections in the world of music boxes. No reservation required. |
This Interstate
also passes near some of Arkansas' most beautiful parks (e.g., White Oak
Lake State Park, Crater of Diamonds State Park, Daisy State Park, De Gray
Lake State Park, Lake Catherine State Park and Hot Springs National Park).
Of course, all of Arkansas is a sight-seer's paradise, - the advantage of
I-30 is accessibility and convenience. Just northwest of Hot Springs National Park is Lake Ouachita and the Ouachita Mountain Range - a camper's and hikers' paradise. |
