The Sahara Hotel and Casino opened its doors in 1952 and quickly became one of Las Vegas' most exciting destinations. Featuring the era's most celebrated performers, including Ann-Margret, Johnny Carson and Tina Turner, the Sahara set the standard in Las Vegas growing entertainment scene. The Sahara blazed new ground by inviting the Beatles to Las Vegas for the very first time.

In the heart of our property, we have a sparkling 5,000 square foot pool featuring 13 private cabanas, circular fountains, a gazebo-covered spa and a snack bar that offers tropical refreshments. The pool is open daily throughout the summer. The spa is open year round throughout the summer.

There are roller coasters, then there's the Sahara SPEED.  Using electromagnetic force to accelerate the coaster to top speeds virtually instantaneously. SPEED toes some conventional loop-the-loops, then accelerates from 35mph to 70mph in just 2 seconds and zips through the Sahara's 192-foot-tall marquee stopping 224 feet above the ground. SPEED then reverses, zooming along the same breath-taking path to the NASCAR Cafe.

  • The Pit Pass Arcade is a state-of-the-art arcade packed with 120 player stations and the hottest video games in town.
  • Speed - The Ride is the hottest and most adventurous thrill ride in Las Vegas! The state-of-the-art roller coaster takes riders on a twisting and turning journey at breathtaking speeds.
  • NASCAR Cafe offers an entertaining dining experience and the tastiest American fare on the Las Vegas Strip. It also features authentic NASCAR stock cars and the world's largest Pontiac Gran Prix stock car, designed by Dale Earnhardt.

Live entertainment is presented in the Casbar Lounge and the Congo Room.
